Zion has a number of organizations and activities for its members' spiritual enrichment and growth. Here is a partial list:
- Choirs: Music is an important part of worship at Zion. In addition to the regular worship service organ and piano that provide melody to the litany and accompaniment for hymns sung by the congregation, Zion has two choirs-- a Chancel Choir that enriches worship services with hymns from traditional and modern composers and chorales, and The Joyful Noise Choir that provides contemporary and traditional music with guitar and other musical instrument accompaniment.
- Lutheran Women's Missionary League: Zion's LWML is part of the national LWML, a mission-oriented women's organization in the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod. Membership is open to all women in LCMS congregations, and the focus is on mission education, mission inspiration, and mission service.
- Zion Sewing Group: A social organization that meets monthly for fellowship, food, and time to get to know others in the congregation while undertaking a variety of sewing projects.
- Men's Prayer Breakfast: Zion's men meet at 8 AM the first and third Saturday of each month for Bible Study, fellowship, and nourishment of the body and soul. The first Saturday of the month meeting is held at Zion, the third Saturday of the month meeting is held at The Honey Jug (formerly Taverna) on East Main in the Safeway Shopping Center.
- Writers' Critique Group: This group is open to anyone who wishes to sharpen their skills with the written word. Whether desiring to publish one's work, or simply to write a family journal, the group provides encouragement and friendly suggestions to help make the work the best it can be.
- Zion Circle: Zion Circle's purpose is to encourage and uplift Christian fellowship among congregational members and others. The group coordinates projects and donates money and goods for Zion and the local community.
